Q: What is the best accident claim advice that I can share?
A: The best accident claim advice I could share, is to be honest. If you’re in an accident and you feel pain, or discomfort, my advice is to get medical treatment, so that it is documented as close as possible to the accident that you were injured. Be truthful to you doctors. If you’ve had other injuries in the past, especially to the same areas of the body, tell the doctor. Nothing can hurt a case more, then a jury, or an insurance adjuster, not believing that you are a credible person. You must maintain your credibility. If the injury is significant, my advice is to obtain a competent personal injury attorney, because there are so many nuances, so many rules, that you must follow in a personal injury case, including pain, back, your health insurance, if your health insurance has paid some of your medical bills. There are so many complications and pitfalls and traps, that my two pieces of advice, is be honest, be forthright and if need be, hire an attorney if your injury warrants it.
